For various reasons outwith my control, yesterday wasn’t a particularly good day for me. However there were a few rays of sunshine in my inbox when I got notification of the full set of badges from the recent iteration of #BYOD4L.
It always surprises me how good getting a badge makes me feel. I’m still not quite sure what to do with them. My Mozilla back pack isn’t part of my CV, but I have shared the facilitator one into LinkedIn via the social sharing mechanisms in Credly (the badge issuer system used by #BYOD4L). I was slightly disappointed the badge graphic didn’t appear. On the plus side, it is something else to add to LinkedIn. TBH I’m not quite sure what to do with that either, but do feel I need to have a presence there. . .
Anyway hope lots of other #BYOD4L-ers are getting their badges too and equal feelings of happiness.choice for #BYOD4L) – was slightly disappointed the graphic didn’t appear.
Hmm, the badge/graphic should appear in your Backpack. Try adding it manually again?

thanks David, just tried from backpack and there isn’t a linked in option I can see and the manual link not that great. Worked well from Credly but no image.
Hi Sheila,
Very well done on earning the badges. Pleased the badges brought some sunshine to your day 😉
Sorry to hear about the display issue. Do you experience the same problem with other badges? Wondering if it has to do with our settings? Hopefully a resolution will be found.
Keep smiling,
Chrissi
Thanks Chrissi – I think it might be a LinkedIn thing – not a bit issue and still smiling
The best way to get the full badge with image in LinkedIn is:
1. send your Credit badges to your Mozilla back pack
2. create a ‘collection’ of the badge(s) you want in LinkedIn
3. Then use this method http://openbadges.tumblr.com/post/55809369771/how-to-display-your-open-badges-on-your-linkedin
It’s a bit roundabout but it does work and looks nice!
That should be Credly not ‘credit’
Thanks Anne – will try that
